u r nuts.. EM did not pay any taxes.. they paid taxes to foreign countries in the amount of 15 billion but claimed on their US taxes they made no profit in the US all their liabilities are in the US..get some facts ..stop watching FOX fake terrorist news

Common64Sense Says:
Lies and more lies. You are such a stooge! I guess reality has NOTHING to do with this, because any MORON can write anything they want! Yes, EM pays taxes every year. Some years, they almost paid more in US taxes than they made in US production. Oh, I don't need some worthless book to tell me this. I know, I work for them!

TheDrpretorious Says:
I say again, you are an idiot. And by the way who responds to a 9 month old post? Oh that's right, an idiot. Oh and just because oil and gas is a more reliable form of energy at the moment( I will grant you that) does not mean that technological leaps won't be made in the future. And when the oil runs out, then where will you be?

hdyer Says:
Socialism and all the rest of the isms, have a mental blockage. When a oil company hires millions of people world wide, charges for the service they provide and return million in taxes, well never be enough for the people in this government, They would prefer total bankrupcy of America, so they could say we did it to the fat cats. By winning the battles they loose there war, and Freeze or die from heat strocks.

hdyer Says:
, I have been all over the north pole reagions and I have see the big swings in climate, and that my firnd is a fact. Nothing you say make sense because solar power, Wind power is good only when the wind blows, batteries can not supply AC because they need a rectifier to change dc into ac, a waste of energy and a total weak source of power. Nothing today can beat Oil or gas. So rave on because soon no body will be listing to your name calling.

EasyEs Says:
Wow you said NOTHING! You say Exxon paid no taxes, I tell you that no sorry that isn't a statement of fact rather assumption based on a lose model based on incomplete understanding of most of the factors that go into calculating a tax bill to be paid to the government. You then respond with some nonsense. Even if it was true, and it is not, Corperate income tax in no way describes the total sum of the taxes paid. Corperate stooge must be short for someone who understands the basics

xadam2dudex Says:
ah yes the corporate stooge sees the laws manipulated by the corporate insiders and thinks just because it is legal it is right.. when the criminals are guarding the gold u act surprised when they steal it...u believe in the magic act they pull every yr to avoid paying taxes u ignore the tax records to defend these criminals and what do u get from it ?? oh yeah u get to be their bitch..how sorry are u that u can't see the truth even when it is in front of ur face
Oct 29, 2011
EasyEs Says:
ahh yes I love it when people who nothing about accounting or corperate tax structures can think they are experts. In words you might understand the story in forbs wasn't their tax bill it was a projection based on 2009 credits and expenses and looking at past years and combining those with projections for the future. Throw in the fact that they overpaid in 2008 and are using those credits to pay part of 2009 on their US earnings you will find out how moronic you are.

xadam2dudex Says:
if u read the facts u will find that EXXONMOBIL paid NOTHING in US taxes.. they paid $15.1 billion in taxes to FOREIGN governments NOT to the US
Jun 2, 2011
shocker147 Says:
If you head over to Forbes and read "How Our Largest Corporations Made $170 Billion During Great Recession And Paid No Taxes" by Rick Ungar you'll find that out of the twelve largest corporations in the US, Exxon Mobil paid the most in taxes. GGE paid a negative 60% tax rate -- making a profit off the government -- and the CEO, Jeff Immelt, works in the White House. Don't be blinded by ideology and hatred. Gather facts then draw conclusions, not vice versa.

xadam2dudex Says:
u know nothing about the truth.. it is a well known fact that EXXONMOBIL paid no US taxes like most large US corporations.. but believe what u want.. u are beyond help..PS.. FOX lies 99% of the time and then the other time it is just lying

shocker147 Says:
Why are The Young "Turks" ranting about American oil companies? This guy is economically illiterate -- and that's putting it mildly. When oil prices spiked in 2008, Nancy Pelosi blamed the oil men in the White House. The last three months of 2010 the oil companies made 2 cents for each gallon of gas sold; the government collected 48 cents in taxes -- 24 TIMES as much. Who is REALLY gouging prices at the pump?

5k1killer Says:
here you are jackass... maybe you should read something other than Huntington!! from forbes "ExxonMobil ( XOM - news - people ) in its 2009 annual report to the SEC, recorded a larger income tax expense than any other U.S. company last year, some $17.6 billion, or 47% of pretax earnings" you can go read their SEC filing as well!
