It's sad how our country is collapsing, no funds for anything worth funding, teachers being laid off, infrastructure failing. After interruption of oil we are all fucked.

nice wastw of money for tax payers...

your correct, this was completely planned out and authorized by the townships and county officials, as well as coverage for the towns participating. Generally there is more then one ambulance per squad so that right there is already covered for themselves, for towns that only have one are covered by the towns that do under mutual aid as well as from the private sector companies.

I see that you mean, and by the sight of it, I can totally understand your perspective. The actuality of it is, they are providing a service at a cost that is a tiny fraction of what it would be if they were 'Full paid Municipal.' I'm not from that area but I would guess that plenty of those Ambulances were purchased through Volunteer's fundraising. I'm also sure that they arranged for adequate coverage for the districts represented during the rally.

I agree Volunteers rock, but it still seems like a waste and misuse of taxpayer property, i wasn't really talking about the EMTs
beEasy2011 Says:
Volunteer Ambulances? you don't make any sense.
stnakreb Says:
except all of these ambulances are volunteer and your not paying for shit. get yur shit straight
johnnykATL Says:
What you don't realize is that the vast majority of those Ambulances are staffed, maintained, and managed by VOLUNTEERS!! The same Volunteers that are the only ones in that region available to respond to YOUR emergency, all of those folks are rallying for the EMT training fund. By the way, "Volunteer" is a term that does not do them justice, for they pay money out of their own pocket (for fuel to drive to shift, to eat during shift, and not to mention THEIR time).

How to create an ambuception. 1. Pull over for emergency vehicles around you 2. Be one of the emergency vehicles at the same time. Enjoy your black hole.
beEasy2011 Says:
good use of taxpayer dollars.
