THE GOVERNMENT AND BANKS. IF THEY CAN PROVIDE OVER 15,000 square feet on approx 2 acre FOR ALL THESE TALENTLESS "CELEBRITIES"... THEY CAN GIVE HOMELESS PEOPLE AT LEAST 1/4 OF THAT AND FEED THEM..

ryanschweighardt Says:
Who can freely provide for it? you? me? your next door neighbor? I wonder how that would work without forcing people through the barrel of a gun... Where do the resources come from that "produce" food? lol. So i guess we can have certain things that are okay'd by a centrally-planned form of governance, and just wank off in our little eco-friendly houses, not free to consume/produce the things we need? i think people forget how a market works, especially in an extended human order.

XSilvenX Says:
I do, and millions of other people do, but we are simply limited by what we can do based on financial status. It's naive to assume that everyone thinks as selfishly as you do. It's already proven people will work towards better means without monetary incentive, you just need to do a little research into human behavior. Try actually watching the full documentary and looking at additional scientific studies that prove this. Look up RSA animate, they have a few of these lectures. Stop assuming.

XSilvenX Says:
Perception of money? Money is a piece of paper that is supposed to represent the value of your work and is no longer necessary to facilitate trade because scarcity doesn't actually exist the same way it did when the concept of money was birthed. It made sense a long time ago but now it's causing people more harm than good -- there are far too many people on the planet. You don't seem to be thinking man. Either that or you're too brainwashed and hooked in to this system to consider alternatives.

XSilvenX Says:
Right, because the vast majority of people can be CEO's, investors, traders, brokers, and high-end executives... You don't seem to be taking very basic logistics into account. Your thinking is especially shortsighted if you stop to consider the fact that technology has an inadvertent side effect in a system that requires labor. What happens when our technology supersedes human labor? Layoffs. No amount of talking about it over the dinner table will replace jobs that no longer need human labor.

well, if you believe that people generally care about third world countries and their well being then you are naive, people will note work whitout getting payid, and robots will not do the work since its cheaper to simply produce products in poorer countries. we only need to look to our history to see that the monetary system isent that bad, in Soviet during the 1920 Lenin tryed to Demolish the monetary system by printing massive amount money to create Inflation it did not end well

KillerWhaleSFl Says:
It is not money that makes us comfortable. It is the things money allows access to. we could provide these things at no charge for all of humanity, if (and its a big if) we put our minds to it

eskimusiko Says:
my question is Why not: 1.Let the machines work for us? 2.Educate ourselves of how to make money work for us( make a business). 3.Talk about money in our homes. The problem of some people especially the middle class and poor. They strive hard to make money not thinking that money can work for us. Better to be rich than being poor which is the biggest problem of our government. like if you agree..
May 19, 2012
eskimusiko Says:
Why not change our perception about money, that money is something to make ourselves to be more comfortable Not to make ourselves to be enslave of money..

S0up3rD0up3r Says:
Lol...people are starving today. 3 children die every second because they don't have access to the things they need even though we can freely provide for it. If you think we still need money in an age where we can mass produce enough food to feed everyone, build housing to shelter everyone, and have so many clean sources of energy to meet every single human being's needs then you are willfully ignorant or completely dishonest.

orha98 Says:
a World without a monetary system would be a very terrible world. people would starve to death, since they wouldn't know how to exchange things properly. the System we live in now might not be a good one, nevertheless its not terrible. the world you describe are hundreds off years away

Or has already happened: "In most anarchist collectives money was abolished. 'Here in Fraga,' the local paper proclaimed in blazing pride, 'you can throw banknotes into the street and no one will take notice. Rockefeller, if you were to come to Fraga with your entire bank account you would not be able to buy a cup of coffee. Money, your God and servant has been abolished and the people are happy." Beevor The Spanish Civil War.

Some of the conceptsi nthis video are worth pobndering, while there are certain points I would take with a grain of salt. Eliimination of social stratification is one such concept is cannot be eliminated. This is the proverbial carrot at the end of a stick. The carrot that many proletariat have chased only to be further entrenched in a system that devalues any human dignity and value. A utopian dream with a unicorn in it. We need laws, but laws that are fair. I did not rate this. Some good/ bad

"Make things abundant enough and the use of money will go away on its own. " Hahahaha. Really. Having "things" in abundance will do away with the need to keep track of ownership? It's been shown again and again that trade and barter of goods leads to the use of the good with the lowest long-term storage cost as money. Wishing is fine, but that's not how the world works.

- Visionary and self-taught architect, Jacques Fresco explains his ideal world that incorporates a resource-based system. No money, or other form of bartering exchange. A world without money is more than just imagination; it is very possible. Jacque Fresco believes if we decide to do this today, all things about this world can be achieved within only 10 years! Look at our world and all the unnecessary suffering at the hands of the monetary system. Money is a flawed system that is holding humanity back. Just watch this. I'm sure you will all agree. -211Network Less
